This November, Active Streets “Corazón del Valle” will create five miles of car-free streets to walk, bike, run, skate, scoot, dance, and play in the heart of the SGV!
The new open streets route will connect participants to historic downtown El Monte, businesses along Garvey Avenue, two community parks, the South El Monte Civic Center, and the Jeff Seymour Family Center, among other notable destinations.

SGVCOG RRS Application:
The SGVCOG is seeking a service provider partner to provide housing services for Proposition 47 eligible clients. The target population for this new housing service are clients who have been previously arrested or charged with a misdemeanor or felony. Clients without these priors would not be eligible to receive housing support through this program. We are looking to be able to provide housing for at least seven (7) individuals with previous criminal justice interventions. Additional information can be found in the Prop 47 Housing Application, linked below.
The SGVCOG will also be holding a teleconference on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. to provide an overview of the application and to give service providers the opportunity to ask questions. The teleconference link can be found hyperlinked here.
Applications must be submitted via email by Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
